Who the heck is this Troy Wink guy. All the other posts on SJDR seem to make him the greatest thing since sliced bread. I have never even heard of him and I've been following modifeds for about 22 years. Any info is appreciated.

Troy Wink raced modifieds at Grandview and Big Diamond in the past. He may have made a few starts at tracks like Flemington, Penn National, Susky, and places like that. He hasn't driven a modified since 1991, and is coming back this year. He's driven cars like the Magnum #44 (his most-popular ride) in the past. He has 3 cars for this season and a ton of parts and stuff. He was always a fan favorite which is probably why he's been talked up so much, he's a really nice guy. The main reason he came back this year was to pick up a win, which he has yet to accomplish. He's hired Keith Brightbill to help him out throughout the year as well. Hope this helps speedy! Not sure if they have anymore info but they're website is www.winkmotorsports.com.

Speedy, thank you for asking about Troy Wink. I wanted to let you know a little about Troy and our team. We have just started back in racing and will be competing at BDR and G-view this season. We got back into the sport because is it something we all enjoy.Years back Troy ran on a limited budget and was very sucessful doing so. We by no means are coming back to set the world on fire, our goals are simple we want to have fun and maybe win 1 or 2. If you take this sport so serious to the level that it is a must win at any cause you don't get very far. We hope as a fan you can appreciate that. As far as what you read on these sites keep in mind that Troy had a very good following of fans when he ran before and was doing very well collecting alot of top 5 finishes, so he feels he owes something back to the sport and is being very visable to the public with his cars this time around and by this he is hoping that fans will help cheer him on and have fun with the team. Troy went as far as purchasing handouts for the kids at the tracks weekly and also purchasing a car for Big Diamond in the sportsman division for a boy who feel on some tough times. Thanks for being a fan and come out and support Wink Motorsports! Come to our open house on Sat Feb 10 from 10:00am till 762 Butter Lane Leesport,PA and see how much fun we are going to have this year
